Complete 3 additional GED credits to meet the 31 minimum credit threshold to earn the CAGS.
Endorsement candidates must have three or more years of PK-12 teaching experience as a licensed educator and hold a master’s degree. The intent of this endorsement is to promote and support curriculum coordination at the district and/or supervisory union level. Educators who hold this endorsement are authorized by the Vermont Agency of Education to coordinate the curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning activities of a school district or supervisory union.
Note: course and course (listed below) are prerequisites for the practicum courses required for this endorsement. Most licensed special educators have met these prerequisites and thus may proceed directly to course.
Those who have met the prerequisites (and are thus not required to take course and course) must complete 3 additional GED credits to meet the 31 minimum credit threshold to earn the CAGS.
Endorsement candidates must have three or more years of experience as a licensed special educator, speech language pathologist, school psychologist, school counselor, reading coordinator/specialist, principal, or superintendent.
Complete 3 additional GED credits to meet the 36 minimum credit threshold to earn the CAGS.
Students with a master’s degree and three years (minimum) teaching experience as a licensed educator are eligible to seek the Principal Endorsement through the Saint Michael’s College Graduate Education Department. This program is approved by the State of Vermont Agency of Education. Students may also choose to pursue this endorsement while working on a Master of Education or CAGS.
This option is for those not pursuing one of the optional endorsements (above) within the M.Ed. / School Leadership program.
