International Exams & Credentials

Coursework and/or examinations completed through international secondary school credentials or leaving exams are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, in consultation with the appropriate academic department. To be considered for transfer credit, courses or exams must be comparable in content, nature, and rigor to Saint Michael’s College courses and must meet the standards outlined in the College’s transfer credit policy. Minimum grades and/or scores, as specified in the policy, apply. Official transcripts or score reports from the originating institutions or examining boards are required for evaluation.

Transfer credit may be awarded for coursework or examinations that meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • The course or examination was completed beyond the standard requirements for secondary school graduation;

  • The course or examination was completed during a year of secondary education equivalent to or beyond grade 13 in the U.S. system;

  • The course or examination has been thoroughly vetted and is generally recognized as eligible for college credit by accredited U.S. colleges and universities.
