Program Description

The M.Ed. with a concentration in Special Education prepares skilled, innovative educators who can design inclusive, effective educational programs for all learners. Coursework emphasizes culturally responsive teaching and leadership, equipping graduates to be strong advocates for students with diverse needs. A hallmark of the program is its dual focus on literacy and mathematics, offering the most current, research-based strategies in both areas. Students graduate ready to deliver individualized, academically rigorous instruction that supports the success of every child. The program includes both a practicum and a student teaching experience, placing students with exemplary educators and providing close support from a dedicated supervisor.
