Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study / Literacy Concentration

Students pursuing the Literacy Concentration within either the CAGS or M.Ed. programs have the option to pursue the state-approved Specialized Literacy Professional Endorsement program. This endorsement program requires 27 credits in literacy and leadership coursework as outlined below.

• Hold or be eligible to hold a Vermont teaching license in early education, elementary, middle grades, the secondary content areas, special education, or multilingual learner;

• Successfully complete all required coursework with a “B” or better;

• Document three years teaching experience;

• Hold a master’s degree.
