Program Description

The mission of the Education Programs at Saint Michael's College is to contribute to the advancement of society through education, with an emphasis on creativity, curiosity, contemplation, collaboration, reflection, and social justice. Completing a major in Elementary Education or Secondary Education automatically completes the courses for licensure. In addition, Elementary Education majors can receive an early childhood education endorsement by taking two additional courses, and secondary education majors can receive a middle level endorsement by taking one additional course. Through these majors, students benefit from a breadth of opportunities, materials, experiences and professional mentoring that places the College's education programs amongst the most highly regarded in the region among professional educators.
