Program Description

French language and culture hold a special place at Saint Michael's College, which was founded by scholar-priests from France over a century ago. The College's proximity to French-speaking Quebec and the cosmopolitan city of Montreal offers students rich opportunities to engage with the language and culture beyond the classroom. The curriculum explores the language and Francophone cultures through film, literature, music, cuisine, and customs from France, the Caribbean, Africa, and Canada. Opportunities such as study abroad in Paris, visits to Montreal's museums and theaters, and participation in French-themed campus activities further enrich the learning experience.
