Program Title

Peace and Justice Minor

Program Type

Minor

Program Description

The Peace and Justice minor at Saint Michael’s College invites students to explore the ethical, spiritual, and social dimensions of justice through academic study and community engagement. Rooted in the college’s Edmundite tradition and Catholic mission to “enhance human dignity and human culture,” the program fosters critical reflection on social responsibility, human rights, and global citizenship. The minor complements students’ involvement in service - particularly through the College’s MOVE volunteer programs - by providing a deeper understanding of the systemic issues behind the work. The minor cultivates both personal growth and a lifelong commitment to justice, compassion, and the common good.
