Program Description

The Latin minor at Saint Michael’s College offers students the opportunity to develop proficiency in one of the foundational languages of Western thought, literature, law, and theology. Through the study of classical texts, students gain insight into Roman culture and history while strengthening their skills in critical thinking, linguistic analysis, and translation. The minor complements a range of majors, particularly those in History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Political Science, and English, and provides valuable preparation for graduate study in the humanities, law, and theology.
