Consulting Teacher Endorsement

The goal of this Graduate Program is to prepare special educators with the skills necessary for cooperation and collaboration among students and adults at all school levels.  Leadership, responsibility, communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution strategies are incorporated into the courses.  Students may select a “Current Topics in Spcial Education” course.  These options will be updated to address current needs in the schools.

Master of Education or Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies programs are designed to lead to Vermont teacher licensure or endorsement as Special Educator. Students may also design a M.Ed. or a C.A.G.S. program with a concentration in general special education or in language/learning disabilities program.  After the Special Educator license, students may also pursue an additional endorsement for Consulting Teacher.  A Master’s is required for this endorsement.
