In addition to the required courses below, Education Studies majors also complete one of the following approved liberal arts or sciences majors:
Psychology, History, American Studies, Business Administration, Accounting, Political Science, Fine Arts (visual, music, theater), Environmental Studies, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Math, Religious Studies, Applied Linguistics, Anthropology/Sociology. Media Studies and Digital Arts, Public History, and Global Studies.
In careful consultation with an Education department advisor a student selects three additional courses from Education or from other departments that enrich his or her specific focus.
Students will culminate the Education Studies major with a field-placed internship (2 course equivalent) and accompanying seminar course where students will complete a professional portfolio.
