GED 606 - Literacy Development and Instruction for Diverse Learners This course focuses on literacy development and instruction for diverse learners, including multilingual learners, readers who are reluctant/struggling, and students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. The candidates will explore the research and “best practices” in literacy instruction with a particular emphasis on the importance of differentiation and culturally responsive pedagogy. The candidates will plan, implement, and reflect on standard-based literacy lessons and assessments.
