PH 355 - Logic: Laws of Thought Students study principles of good reasoning, focusing on its formal and mathematical aspects. After constructing proofs within Aristotelian, propositional, and/or predicate logic systems, students reflect on the nature of the practice. Possible questions: Is logic self-justifying? How many logics might there be? How are logic and thought related? Recommended for pre-law.

Prerequisites/Restrictions: One 100-level or 200-level PH course
