RS 211 - New Testament An in-depth study of the New Testament and the cultural milieux of these texts as products of a largely Jewish sect in the Greco-Roman world. Attention also paid to some early Christian texts not included in the canon, as well as later interpretation of the New Testament.
Prerequisites: A 100-level Religious Studies course and a 100-level Philosophy and at least sophomore standing.
