ED 357 - Early Childhood Education: Investing in the Future This course introduces the field of early childhood education, with a focus on ages three through eight. It provides an overview of significant theoretical perspectives; current research on related psychological, social, cultural and policy issues; major historical and contemporary early childhood curriculum models; and opportunities to develop skills to observe, contrast and analyze a variety of programs.
