BI 242 - Community Ecology This course covers the biology of ecological communities. The course emphasizes biological diversity measurement, preservation, and human influences on biological communities. Core concepts include keystone species, dominant species, disturbance effects, and species co-occurrence. Approach includes assigned readings with hands-on investigation in the field and laboratory. Communities of aquatic habitats are emphasized.
Prerequisites: BI 151 with a grade of “C” or better.
