MA 490 - Readings and Research in Mathematics Independent reading and/or research of an advanced topic, under the direction and supervision of a faculty member. Results for the course are often submitted in written form and presented in a seminar setting or a student symposium.
Prerequisites: Junior standing; permission of supervisor and department chair.
Half or Full course Misc. Notes: Topic and course credit must be approved by a faculty supervisor, department chair, and the Associate Dean of the College. This course may not be used to replace one of the required electives for the major.
