RS 240 - Christianity and World Religions in Dialogue


Examines Christianity in relationship to three other major world religions: Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. We will begin by reviewing the core beliefs and practices of the Christian tradition and Christian attitudes towards other religions. Then we will study and discuss in the following order: Islam and the Christian-Muslim dialogue, Hinduism and the Christian-Hindu dialogue, and finally Buddhism and The Christian-Buddhist dialogue.

Prerequisites: A 100-level Religious Studies course and at least sophomore standing.

Credits: 3 cr.
