PS 320 - Psychology and Law This course examines controversies in the criminal justice system from the standpoint of psychological science research. Topics covered will include discrimination, prejudice, stereotyping, appraisal subjectivity, eyewitness identification, reliatiblity of child witnesses, repressed/recovered memory, expert testimony, false confessions, detecting deception, death penalty law, and pre-tiral publicity.
Prerequisites: PS 215 or permission of the instructor.
Credits: 4 cr.
