RS 310 - Religion: Theory and Method This course examines the definition and nature of religion as well as issues of method and theory in the academic study of religion. It will examine both religious and naturalistic theories of religion and will inquire into the various dimensions of religion such as religious experience, doctrine, myth, ethics, and the social and institutional fabric of religions.
Prerequisites: A 200-level Religious Studies course.
Credits: 4 cr. Misc. Notes: Required of all RS majors; recommended for RS minors.
