School Leadership Concentration (M.Ed.)

Students in the Master’s Program in School Leadership work individually and with colleagues, in the classroom and in the field, to explore concepts while acquiring and applying their skills. An initial teaching license or equivalent is required for admission. The additional endorsement as a Vermont School Principal can be obtained through this program if the applicant has a teaching license and a minimum of three years K-12 teaching.

GED 688C - Practicum: Administrative/Principal Practicum Credits: 6 cr. (Year-long)
or GED 688E - Practicum: Special Education Leadership Credits: 6 cr. (Year-long)
or GED 688F - Practicum: Director of Curriculum Credits: 6 cr. (Year-long)
GED 699 - Capstone Seminar in Graduate Education Credits: 3 cr.

Electives (8 credits)

Students may choose eight credits from among other graduate course offerings. It is highly recommended that students select courses from the Administration and Management program as well as in the areas of special education and technology.
