Curriculum Concentration Information
The Curriculum concentration in Graduate Programs in Education combines theoretical understanding with practical applications. “Curriculum” includes many areas: philosophy, design, development, implementation, assessment, and evaluation. A thorough knowledge of modern curricula in a historical context is provided with a focus on whole systems and integrative understanding, as well as specific skills which give educators and administrators the necessary understanding and strategies to develop and evaluate school curricula. From a broad base, educators will be able to delve more deeply into areas of their choice. While the primary focus is K-12 public school settings, the concentration is applicable to all levels and a variety of contexts in which curriculum is developed and utilized. C.A.G.S. Coursework
