Licensed Vermont school teachers seeking to add an ESL endorsement may take the following classes (18 credits) to fulfill academic competencies required by the Vermont Department of Education.  The coursework involves a 60-hour associated practicum component to meet state-mandated student teaching requirements.  Please note: As of November 2010, endorsement candidates must also pass the Praxis II (ESOL) exam to satisfy state requirements.
