Licensure: English as a Second Language (TESOL)

Saint Michael’s College Graduate Programs in Education, in conjunction with the Master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MATESOL), offers a State-approved program that leads to initial teacher licensure. Acceptance to both the MATESOL and Graduate Education Licensure program is required.

English as a Second Language (ESL): Required Courses (50 credits)

The Program requires the completion of 50 credits: 28 credits in TESOL courses, 13 credits in Graduate Education and a 9-credit student teaching component, and can be completed in a minimum of five full-time terms.
