GED 542 - Pre-K-12 Curriculum and Assessment Students will come to a deeper understanding of community and how it relates to classroom culture and curriculum. Through the lenses of place-based education, sustainability, and equity, we will critically examine and apply curriculum theory, instructional and assessment strategies, content knowledge, and the Vermont and national standards to develop a comprehensive, integrated unit of study. Diversity in student populations will be explored as we consider the integral role of curriculum and assessment in fostering student learning and growth.
