DMC 261 - The Moving Image: Broadcast TV/Video Storytelling

This course first focuses on the role of broadcast TV journalism in our society today. Students examine the different ways in which TV news shapes our understandings of our own local communities, our nation, and world events. Secondly, this course focuses on the creation of broadcast TV news stories. Students will learn strategies of visual storytelling for all aspects TV and video production–scripting, filming, editing and distribution as well as basics in on-camera presentation.
