MU 281 - Introduction to the Music Industry

Students will examine the music business industry in this ever-changing world of broadcast mediums. We’ll develop competencies that are used in a wide array of careers that are at the center of the music industry. Specific areas of study include the development of business-related knowledge and skills necessary for developing and maintaining a professional music career; the structure, and vocabulary of the music industry; and the challenges of starting and marketing a music career, from scratch, with or without the help of a record label.
