GSL 506 - Becoming a TESOL Professional

This course introduces students to the discourse community of TESOL in the field of Applied Linguistics and helps them develop abilities to read and write critically about special topics in the field. Students also engage in professional development activities outside the class and then reflect on their own identities and ongoing self-development as a TESOL professional. By the mid-point of the seminar, students make the decision to either write a Thesis or complete a Portfolio.

Credits: 3 cr.
