GED 621 - Supervision, Evaluation, and Teacher DevelopmentIn this course students will look at, from a systems perspective, the main functions of the administrator as supervisor, coach and evaluator. Students will examine effective pedagogy and theories of adult and teacher development as the foundation for meaningful supervision, growth and evaluation of staff. Students will explore mentoring, coaching, and supervision in the context of the professional learning community. Throughout the semester they will develop and practice the skills needed to effectively supervise, promote growth and evaluate staff, from novice to expert, competent to incompetent.
Credits: 3 cr.
