ES 310 - Environmental Hazards The course focus lies at the intersection of natural systems and human interactions. Environmental Hazards include both natural hazards (extreme geophysical and biologic events) and technological hazards (disasters originating from industrial processes or infrastructure). Emphasis will be placed on both the geography, description, frequency of physical characteristics as well as understanding human dimensions (risk, vulnerability, mitigation).
Prerequisites: ES 201
