ES 253 - Coral Reef Ecology Coral reefs are coastal marine ecosystems that are among the most complex, diverse and fragile on our planet. This half-course will cover the application of basic ecological principles to this unique ecosystem, an introduction to the species endemic to the community, and a discussion of the major threats to the ecosystem, both natural and anthropogenic.
Prerequisites: BI 151 or equivalent
