GED 636 - Special Education LeadershipThis course will focus on leadership and will include competency in providing, administering, supervising and evaluating special education programs and services. This will include coordination of these services with regular education programs, home-based and community-based services for students with disabilities. Students will also become competent in adapting educational curriculum, analyzing related services and the supervision of paraeducators. This course also provides educators and special educators with the framework and skills necessary for cooperation and collaboration among the school community, parent/families, and interagency partners in the elementary, middle and secondary schools. Participants will be expected to apply strategies of consultation and collaboration within a school community.
