SO 302 - Politics, Culture, and Globalization in Central America In this twenty-five day trip, students will live with an urban Guatemalan family during the week taking trips as a group to the indigenous highlands during the weekends. Readings, discussions, and field trips will bring students into contact with some of Guatemala’s many intelligent, committed and capable social scientists, religious workers, and community developers. This course will introduce students to the topics of political and social change in one of the most culturally diverse nations in the Western hemisphere.
