MJD 263 - Screen Life in Modern Visual Media Over the past few years, new media techniques, technologies, and organizations such as Facebook, Twitter, texting, iPhones, iPads, smart phones, HD webTV, Skype, and Kindle have rapidly changed the way in which many of us interact and communicate on a daily basis. These devices—and the manner in which they’ve been used—have had an enormous impact on nearly all aspects of our daily lives. In this course, students take an in-depth and interdisciplinary look at the ways in which modern screen-based media impact global society.
