GED 673 - Special Topics: Art History for the ClassroomClassroom and Art teachers are invited to expand their knowledge of art history. Delving into such genres as Roman Architecture, Chinese painting and calligraphy, Renaissance painting, West African shrines, Impressionist painting, Harlem Renaissance paintings and sculptures, Abstract Expressionist murals and Pop Art will enrich not only a teacher’s artistic literacy but provide an invaluable source to create interdisciplinary curriculum. Viewing and discussing the historic, scientific, literary, and social contexts of art work will inspire individual lesson plans to be shared in class.
Credits: 3 cr.
