FS 110 - Off the Grid In this course we will study examples of nonconformist behavior. What are the various grids in our lives? To what extent is it desirable, or even possible, to abandon them? Students will do substantial autobiographical writing, in order to examine the inherited structures in their own experience. Readings may include Galileo, Tolstoy, Thoreau, Jack London, Emily Dickinson, Zora Neale Hurston, and Jon Krakauer.
