BI 223 - Genetics The study of gene transmission from generation to generation, gene structure and function. Lectures consider several topics, including transmission genetics, chromosome theory of inheritance, genetic variations, DNA repair, and molecular genetics. The laboratory emphasizes a quantitative approach to exploration of selected topics considered in lecture, and an introduction to molecular techniques.
Prerequisites: BI 151, BI 153, CH 103, CH 107, or permission of the instructor
