Consulting Teacher Endorsement

The Consulting Teacher endorsement program is designed for licensed special educators with at least three years of teaching experience who are interested in developing their leadership skills. The coursework is structured to prepare consulting teachers as leaders who promote understanding and equity, resolve conflicts, and build consensus for improving program, services, and outcomes for individuals with complex needs in their schools.  Our program guides educators to develop culturally responsive practices that enhance their collaboration and advocacy skills so they can effectively engage classroom teachers in innovative practices that ensure students with disabilities have full access to the universal core program with their peers.

A master’s degree is required for this endorsement and the endorsement may be completed as part of the M.Ed. or CAGS program.
