Consulting Teacher Endorsement

The Master’s Program with additional Consulting Teacher endorsement is designed to be an innovative program that aligns carefully with the Vermont licensure requirements.  The coursework is structured to prepare consulting teachers to rise as leaders as they promote understanding, resolve conflicts, and build consensus for improving program, services, and outcomes for individuals with complex needs in their schools.  Our program guides educators to develop culturally responsive practices that will enhance their collaboration and advocacy skills to ensure they are able to effectively provide the strategies and tools to engage classroom teachers in innovative practice to ensure students with disabilities have full access to the universal core program with their peers.

After obtaining the Special Educator license, students may also pursue an additional endorsement for Consulting Teacher.  A Master’s degree is required for this endorsement.
