Environmental Science Major

This interdisciplinary major program is designed to provide the student with a foundation in the physical and biological sciences needed to become a practicing environmental scientist. The program also requires two courses in the social sciences so that students acquire some understanding of the socio-economic influences involved in environmental decisionmaking.

Academic internship or independent research during junior or senior year. Electives will be chosen by the student in consultation with an advisor so as to satisfy the needs and interests of each student. The election of additional math/science courses is strongly encouraged.
