GSA 513 - Financial Management I

This course introduces the beginning student of finance to the basic principles and practices of financial management and decision making.  The emphasis is on application and theory.  The course will emphasize fundamental concepts, including time value of money, financial markets, valuation of stocks and bonds, financial statement analysis, forecasting, capital budgeting, risk and return, cost of capital, capital structure, dividend policy and working capital management.


Prerequisites:
GSA 494 Accounting for Managers or permission of instructor.

Credits: 3 cr.
