GSL 655 - Language Learning & Assessment for Children

This course introduces ESOL and other content area teachers to the following topics concerning school-age language learners: linguistic and cognitive development, instructional and assessment methods, the integration of language and content, materials adaptation, and curriculum development. Special emphasis is given to children’s literacy and linguistic needs in public school ESL classrooms.

Credits: 3 cr.
