GED 522 - Teaching Literacy in the Elementary SchoolMethods related to literacy acquisition and instruction are presented with a focus on the close relationship between reading and writing. Information about how to select and use children’s literature as a vehicle for teaching these literacy skills at the elementary level is also emphasized. Connection to the Vermont’s Framework of Standards and Learning Opportunities will be made.
