PH 235 - The Philosophy of Disability Examines the philosophical, medical, and historical dimensions of the concept of disability through the lived experiences of disability and examines how those dimensions frame notions of disability, health, and well-being. We will examine the models of disability developed by those dimensions including the concepts of normalcy and ableism as they relate to and develop in literature, medicine, and society.
