ED 335 - Literacy in the Elementary Classroom This interactive course will introduce students to the continuum of literacy development and research-based best practices in literacy instruction with a particular emphasis on six literacy essentials: word structure, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and motivation. Coursework will include visits to local elementary classrooms to observe master teachers and to work with elementary students.
Prerequisites: ED 231, ED 251 and ED 300 or concurrent enrollment in ED 300
