GED 595 - Launching and Developing a Writers’ Workshop in the Elementary GradesThis course will explore the components of a writing workshop for grades K-6. Particular focus will be spent on: the architecture of a minilesson and conference, using mentor authors, the writing process, assessment of writing, and designing units of study within particular genres. Participants will also study the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and create CCSS-aligned lessons.
Credits: 3 cr.
