GED 595 - Launching and Developing a Writers’ Workshop in the Elementary GradesThis course will explore the components of a writing workshop for grades K-6. Particular focus will be spent on: architecture of a minilesson and conference, using mentor authors, writing process, assessment of writing, and designing units of study within particular genres. Participants will also spend time with the national common core curricular standards that have been adopted by Vermont.
Credits: 3 cr.
