GED 530 - Literacy in the Middle and Secondary Schools

In this course students examine applications and implications of literacy development in the content area. Students will reflect on personal experience, examine theory, and be involved in curriculum planning.  We will also evaluate potential student resources. Common Core State Standards are integrated throughout the course as students explore and design specific strategies for developing literacy skills within their content area.

Credits: 3 cr.
