GSA 629 - Public Policy and the Nonprofit SectorNonprofit organizations interact with government in complex ways: as advocate and watchdog, as program developer and implementer, as government contractor and beneficiary. In this course, students will examine the complexity of that relationship, with special attention to the role of nonprofit organizations in public policy development, government budgeting, and administrative regulation. Using current, real world examples, students will gain hands-on experience in issue development, legislative and budget tracking, media strategy, and more.
