FS 121 - Meanings of Myth

Throughout humanity’s search for meaning in the surrounding world, in thoughts of superior beings, and in the ultimate aspects of life and death, some solace has been found in the stories or myths that had been constructed.  These myths have been integral to our understanding of a variety of cultures from Bronze Age Mesopotamia through Egypt, Greece and Rome, northern Europe, the civilizations of Asia, Africa, the Pacific, and here in our own hemisphere.  Our efforts together will pursue understanding of how myths had real meaning to our fellow humans over time and place.
